Surely any 'divorce bill' carve up would be Scotland repaying the UK, not the other way round? Baring in mind how much UK taxpayer funded investment there is in Scotland? She seems a little delusional as this state pension episode illustrates, so maybe she's presuming, amongst all the other presumptions, that the UK will be compensating Scotland for leaving the union?!! I suspect there's not a great deal of UK "investment" in Scotland....certainly plenty of our money has flowed up there, but it disappears into Scotland's annual budget (benefits, street cleaning, etc, etc). As regards an independent Scotland's share of the UK's national debt, I'm not sure how that would be allocated....pro rata population numbers might be a bit too simplistic. Whatever method is chosen, it will surely result in a mega financial burden for Scottish taxpayers. If they were given a 'shipload' of Gilts which they would have to repay on maturity, those payments could come quite quickly. I suspect they would prefer to simply make annual payments to the Rump-UK government, over many years....giving inflation plenty time to nibble the load away....just as it would nibble away the UK's national debt if we remain united.

I know of a number of large companies who have factories in Scotland that are already planning to pullout of the country and relocate to England due to the risk of Scottish independence.
The economic fallout for Scotland leaving the union is disastrous …….for England it would actually not hit hard if at all .
They would be crazy but hey ho crack on if that’s what they want.

Berwick has seen masses moving in from Edinburgh No mention of it though. Still say if sturgeon wants another referendum let us all have a vote so she gets the result she wants
