I only reluctantly listen to radio headline news on the hour and have never heard in mentioned once. I avoid papers, live TV and Internet news sites to avoid the tedious propaganda. Maybe you're engaging with the wrong media. I listened to a national radio channel whilst driving for less than 30mins last night. It was a story in their top of the hour news and also was one of the topics up for listener participation that followed (along with transgender sports, someone talking about how the NHS Covid App originally had aspirations to be a social reward app similar to what China have, an interesting anti 'Net Zero' discussion which seemed to follow off the cuff of the 5p fuel duty cut, and something about Ukraine that I only caught a minute of) It is... www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-60843470🤷♂️

Maybe you're engaging with the wrong media. Avoiding the usual establishment media control, I probably am as far as they're concerned. I listened to a national radio channel whilst driving for less than 30mins last night. I hope you took in the agenda. Yet still only on the website. Many people back in Hudds are surprised at just how many have been landing ion Kent's beaches, mainly because it gets very little coverage. BBC National News gets far more viewers than their website, which now gets less than their Nigerain slang version. www.bbc.com/pidgin

"The wrong kind of media" = "Not the ones I blindly follow the lies and propaganda from". So, are you saying the stories I shared from mainstream sources about migrants crossing the channel are MADE UP - even when they exactly echo what you have been saying!!?? Are you also saying that a national radio broadcaster that was clearly in the... - "trans people should either run under their identified sex at birth or a new totally separate category" - "The Covid App was intended as a population control digital ID passport that would grant or deny us access to services at the whim of 'a greater power'" - "Bori's Net Zero aspirations should be abandoned, the green levy (a tax that we can't vote on, that is also a tax upon an existing tax) should be scrapped and we should re-open mines, start fracking and using our resources". ...camp, was pumping out propaganda? (that seems to broadly agree with your viewpoint on everything?!). The difference compared to you, despite the obvious bias of the presenter, both sides were given fair opportunity to put points forward for reasonable discussion, and it furthered my understanding of the alternative view. (FWIW, of these three topics, in terms of the agenda that the presenter was pushing that I've described above, I am strongly in agreement with one, broadly in agreement with another, and couldn't really give a crap about the third (the middle one)...)

"Migrants" you say? Why didn't they just get a ferry like all the other legal migrants? Ah, BBC "Migrants" aka "refugees" not Gimmedats, unidentifield fighting age Muslim chancers and criminals then...

Grow up you little child. The BBC clearly refer to them as illegal migrants and quote a minister calling them "unacceptable", whilst highlighting the Bill that government are trying to pass to make it a more clearly defined criminal offence.

Wrong. That old left wing myth again.... The BBC do not refer to them once as "illegal immigrants" in YOUR effing article, Trigger. They were referred to twice as "Migrants". You will never see Al Beeb use the correct term ever. The may mention "illegal immigration" as a thing, but will only refer to the illegal immigrants as "migrants". Have a look before gobbing off dipstick.

BBC > Tom Pursglove, minister for tackling illegal migration, said the rise in crossings was "unacceptable".They clearly link the crossings with illegal immigration.

Do you have trouble reading, or is the dribbling affecting your ability to take in large words?
I deliberately put this line in, knowing a tedious w4nker would come back with your response. I was bang on.
You will never find an Al Beeb article calling them "illegal immigrants" as it's against their lefty policy.
Nice edit, Trigger.
Is that the sound of a massive back pedal?

I'll resurrect this thread, even though the following is only partially relevant.
It's reported that, in the year to March, 994,951 visas were issued to foreign workers, students, relatives, etc.
A further 15,451 people were granted asylum, and the number applying (some 60,000) rose by 45%....largely fuelled by Afghans and boat people. Three-quarters of applicants now have their request granted....the highest rate for 30 years....even though the Whitehall halfwits claim to be clamping down on illegal arrivals and bogus claims.
The ONE MILLION-PLUS arrivals is the highest annual total since modern records began in 2005....and may be the highest since WW2. The implementation of a points-based immigration system has opened up half of all UK jobs to foreigners.....and those near-half million foreign students (paying higher fees) will surely be depriving many Brits of a Uni place.
Chronic housing shortage....health service falling apart at the seams....prices of most goods and services rocketing, threatening recession and mass unemployment....yet keep packing the (non-European) foreigners in. The greatest Brexit betrayal of all.

.yet keep packing the (non-European) foreigners in. The greatest Brexit betrayal of all. In what way has non European immigration got anything to do with Brexit? This government either have zero interest in carrying out the promises they made on immigration, or someone higher up wants to merge the entire world into a borderless multicultural third world cess pit, generating wealth for the elite few to continue living a life of luxury and global power.

The greatest Brexit betrayal of all. I like most people, probably share your concerns about immigration to our already over-crowded little island. If I can query some of your points though- 15,451 people were granted asylum....60,000 applied....3/4 of applicants have their request granted. Those figures dont tally. I dont know, but were the numbers 'arriving' in the year to March skewed by new Brexit rules.. ie EU nationals already here having to apply to be here? And theres no shortage of Uni places. Indeed the standards needed to get in have become extremely low for most degrees, so keen are they to attract more students. Guaranteed places offered before A level grades have been achieved being very common now. With fees of £9250 pa universities have expanded their courses massively to cash in. The year before my daughter went her course had room for 30 students each year. It was 60 when she started and now 4 years later its over 100.
