It's a mixed blessing. The fact that Indian food is now the national dish is telling. The truth is that multiculturalism has brought as many challenges as it has benefits. Needless to say, the wokies focus on the positives and prefer to turn a blind eye to the negatives. They even accuse those who dare discuss the downside as being racist. It's a cheap shot, but as common as it is predictable all the same.
Generally, Asians have been more successful in the west than other ethnic groups, with the exception of Muslims. Many aspects of their culture are clearly incompatible with western values in a number of obvious ways. It is sobering to think there are more than 100 Sharia courts operating in the UK ... that we know about.
Hindus, Seikhs, and Buddhists, on the other hand, enjoy broad faiths that generally sit well with their host nations.
It remains to be seen how long traditional British tolerance can be extended to certain less than tolerant minorities, and how the economic migrant crisis will play out in the long run.

I believe there have been studies in the past where they concluded that integration does not work as well as it could do.
Western values clashing with strong religous values is always going to be a bit of a struggle.
I mean even them christian loons in america clash with the majority of the public, but they are few and far between.
All you end up with is segregated communities on the large part, but to be fair why wouldnt you, it's a lot easier and more comforting to be surrounded by people that you have a similar background as yourself.
My wifes parents live in spain, they go to the local market, local village etc but are also near the expat part where they can go to the pub or have a curry.. whats wrong with that?
What i dont like is the hypocrisy of people moaning about 'gammons' or some sort of negative phrase where they moan about english folk going to another country for a better lifestyle but not integrating as much, but then happily defend people coming over here.

There is a much more civilised integration between cultures here than there ever will be in Britain, but the liberals love to fire off the 'why are you an expat, not an immigrant' bollocks, or portray us all as nipping down to the local - named after a traditional pub, wearing a St George's cross vest, to get pissed on Carling Lame and lazy from people that don't have a clue how a lot of people choose to live when abroad. |

I see an Islamic charity has now named the teacher involved in the Batley Grammer school fiasco last March.
How very fucking considerate of them, the guy will be absolutely shitting himself now, there will definitely be somebody out there crazy enough to attemto to take his life.

The Grand has been a shithole for years, but, it is popular with older guests, who just want a cheap seaside holiday - probably pensioners on pretty low incomes.
I should imagine it was pretty traumatic for many of them.
