Two new managers / first team coaches appointed by fellow Championship clubs today :-
Burnley - ex Man City Player Vincent Kompany, having done 2 years at Andelecht
Blackburn - ex Newcastle Player Jon Dahl Tomasson, having won league titles with Malmo.
Blackpool currently the only side without a man in charge.

Surprise sacking today rather than appointment, Birmingham part with Lee Bowyer, given that they are constantly skint I wonder if another take over is on the cards.

It seems that Birmingham are to name former QPR assistant John Eustace as their new manager to replace Bowyer - Eustace worked under Warburton last season before they were sacked*and have been replaced by Michael Beale - he was assistant to Gerrard at Rangers and Villa ( no I’ve never heard of him either.)
* interesting fact the term sacked when you lose your job dates back to the days before unions and job security, a tradesman could be dismissed with no warning and told to pack his tools in a hessian sack and leave ! C’mon, if you’ve learned that today you’re going to reuse it sometime soon.

Not surprised Bowyers been sacked. They have once again survived by the skin of their teeth and because other clubs got docked points. might not have had money to spend, but he can't have spent less than us in the transfer market and we finished 3rd!

Errmm Danny Schofield at Huddersfield Town probably tops the list for surprising appointments, hot on the heels of Carlos Corberan topping the table for surprising departures. Oh and in case you’ve missed it U.K. PM has also picked today to resign.

Quite surprising that CC departs for sure.
Don't think there's any surprise whatsoever about Danny Schofield being appointed though, for all the exact same reasons that would have fed into Carlos deciding to move on.

I suppose Schofield is the cheap option but who knows, he may well turn out to be the best option, give the guy a chance.

Sometimes things work and sometimes they don't.

You can apply that to player transfers as well, anyone on here pleased when we brought Nichols in ? but spend £17M on Kongolo and we all think that’s ace.
