Don't really want to dig him out cos Slapps has been fighting a lone battle against the badmins in support of Oti on DATM, but anybody that followed the covid thread over there will know we've had some pretty intense debates on the comparison between the UK and Spain over the pandemic. When the Uk started the vaccination programme, it was welcome after all the fuck ups that Boris and co had made. I do know a load of people back in the UK that have been jabbed that have had covid - moderately ill in most cases. |

Indeed most people who are admitted to hospital with covid have been double jabbed but that is always going to be the case when we have double jabbed nearly 80% of the population. |

Indeed most people who are admitted to hospital with covid have been double jabbed but that is always going to be the case when we have double jabbed nearly 80% of the population. I thought the idea of the vaccine was to keep people out of hospital. It doesn't prevent you getting or spreading it, but it is supposed to boost your immunity. That doesn't seem to be happening, so, like I say, prepare for your booster shots. |

Has anyone seen what is going on in Australia right now?
Latest update from my mate over there is that NSW is now proposing a law to abolish all private ownership rights - all on the back of a non-deadly virus. How convenient this has been for them eh? Hmmm... where have we heard of this proposal before? Oh yes that's right - the Communist manifesto.
There are now thousands of troops on the streets, unlawfully imposing what in effect has become martial law which is also facilitating the greatest peacetime draconian conditions ever seen in history.
Some state borders over there actually dissect towns and as the rules now state that you are no longer allowed to cross state borders, So if you need to attend hospital in an emergency and the local hospital just happens to be in a part of town that is in a different state (even if it just happens to be around the corner), then you may have to drive 2, 3 or even 4 hours to the nearest hospital in the same state as you! Good luck then if you have an immediate life threatening condition.
This is no longer about a pandemic. This is an excuse for a direct assault on civil liberties.
Watch this space. I can see this crap coming to a country near you very soon.

No real lockdowns.
Still getting 1300 new cases a day but averaging one death a day for weeks now....thats because they measure more robustly.
UK, if you die and have covid then its covid....simple. Strange that if you die with an ingrowing toenail its not the toenail thats the issue.
Hungary, 15 deaths in a week, only one under 50 as usual. Poland ditto.
Cases rising in the UK....good, let everyone get it and then the future spikes will be tiny and manageable.
God knows what they think will happen in Oz and NZ. Idiots.
