For me, I would have incitment to commit a crime as a boundary. Not a lot else. Certainly not telling jokes that have an ambiguous meaning, and context absolutely SHOULD matter. Incitement to hate is a difficult one - and it seems the law has prescrbed which sections of society it's ok to aim hatred at & which it isn't. An unsatisfactory solution in my view but I'm not sure where the line should be drawn either TBF. OK, so in my time I've heard plenty of jokes portraying rape as humourous. Is that OK? Ched Evans fluffed a chance after 8 minutes. The phrase that entered my head = "He's got the touch of a rapist". I'm alone, so I've not said that joke out loud. In some circles, I would have said it out loud. In others I would not. Whether it's acceptable depends upon the audience. |

Comedians typically cater to a certain kind of audience. Across the full spectrum, all manner of subjects will appeal to some.....few will appeal to everyone.
People paying to see Jimmy Carr, for example, have a pretty good idea of the sort of humour he delivers. Don't like it, don't go to his shows, save the brass.
Unfortunately, when the MSM get a whiff of a dodgy joke, they present it to an audience of millions....where almost certainly, the offended-on-behalf-of-others brigade will latch onto it. Don't blame Carr for this latest controversy.....the MSM didn't have to repeat it.

Former BBC journo and radio presenter Alex Belfield, has been pretty much silenced on Youtube now by the pack of Woketard Cancel Culture.
He can post, but not have an opinion on anything, even when others are allowed that opinion, as the Woketards are reporting everything as false news in packs.
Another to add to the growing list of people silenced for not following the WEF agenda.

He can't make comment on any subject now, without a gang of playground bully Cancel Culture Lefties reporting his videos en masse as fake news and getting him shut down. He went to another platform, Vimeo and they followed him and did the same. He's now only able to broadcast his views on his own new website. It's a campaign lefties do to silence the opposition. The best example is Yaxley-Lennon, who having been removed from pretty much any platform, for saying nothing illegal, just because the cancel culture lot attacked anyone who didn't ban him. They also got him removed from any payment platforms. Other include Katie Hopkins and now clearly, Alex Belfield. Brand will be next as his audience is growing. It all depends if GoogleTube have the balls to ban a guy with over half a million and growing followers, just to appease a gobby few thousand Cancel Culture Yogurt Weavers. It's the same sort of bullying as carried out by the DATM clique of 4 or 5 on here, towards anyone who dares not follow the establishment agenda. |

I'm not sure what Conservative values are anymore. The current crop of puppets seem Hell bent on bankrupting the country with free handouts and destroying it by encouraging as much mass illegal unidentified migration as physically possible.
It's nigh on impossible to book a hotel room around here, as all are full to the brim with Gimmedats. We're running out of places to put them all and they've not stopped over winter as they normally do for a few months. it's still hundreds most days, it just does not make the news as the government are keeping it hushed up. Local reporters have had court injunctions thrown at them to hush them up and the Welcome Centre sites now have 12ft high black out fencing round them, so nobody can see the scale of this illegal immigrant importing scheme.
