What a mess, 8 million facing starvation, 4 billion $$$ required urgently, no great surprise though, why would an organisation like the Taliban know how to run a Country. We can't sit back and let all these people starve but dealing with the taliban won't go down well with western governments, what's the answer ? No idea what the answer is mate but what a fuck up!! |

Afghanistan has been a tribal warfare sh1thole for decades and always will be due to the corrupt culture. We wasted thousands of UK and allied lives "liberating" them from the Taliban, gave them many tens of Billions in aid, training and military equipment, 20 years training up a well equipped army so they could become a nation free of 7th Century tribal warfare. We then left and immediately, the tribal leaders took Taliban bribes, the vastly superior in numbers and equipment army troops fled and the public welcomed the 7th Century back with open arms. They wanted the 7th Century back, they're welcome to it. We have no place funding the Taliban to let them build a stronger army. As for the thousands of successful UK asylum seekers who, as soon as they got a free house, sub let it and returned to the country they claimed to be fleeing.... "Just out on a wedding or funeral" my arse.  |

To add a little bit more to the mess, if you watch the film Rambo 3, released in 1988 (while the Russians where the invading nation) in the title credits it is actually dedicated to the “Taliban. The brave freedom fighters of Afghanistan.” |

To add a little bit more to the mess, if you watch the film Rambo 3, released in 1988 (while the Russians where the invading nation) in the title credits it is actually dedicated to the “Taliban. The brave freedom fighters of Afghanistan.” Nah, that's another "urban legend" apparently. Sounds good though. |
