Is the 6 month anniversary of this board, not bad when you consider that plenty from the other side said it wouldn't last 6 weeks. Well done to Mel for giving the wrongly life banned a platform to post and hopefully this site will keep growing over the months/years to come.

I've not been on much this week, is everybody still behaving? ;-)
The site has exceeded my expectations tbh, I created it because I felt Otiums DATM ban was wrong, and I still believe that, but it was rescinded in the end, even though the board was then morphed into something that held no interest for quite a few posters.
I hope the forum has given everybody something worthwhile, especially you Oti.

Can't believe it's been 6 months.
And yes, it's nice to be able to discuss ''hot topics' again and I've not seen as much childish morngy stuff on here apart from the windup merchants a month or two back.

Think there's a huge misinterpretation on DATM that this is some kind of right wing echo chamber.
Glad to say its nothing like that.
Hopefully a few more who were worth reading on the politics forum from all sides will try it out and find that too.
And hopefully a few who filled the politics board with incessant bitchy shite and pretend outrage will continue to not bother.

Artysid should take the accolades really mate - when the vocal majority were voicing their frustarations about Otium's lifetime ban, he posted a link on how to set up a forum on proboards, along with a comment like "why don't you start your own board". 6 months has bloody flown. It's getting there anyway. Like someone said, it's not the far right board and I don't belive in left or right shite. Opinions are that, if it sounds stupid I'll say it is, no matter the side the fence. Funny there's no middle ground on some, you're just labelled incorrectly

I post on both boards and don't have a problem with posters political
views , diversity is a good thing and it makes for a healthy forum ,
some posters on DATM could never appreciate that people have different
opinions and would fly into a rage, when their sometimes warped view
of life was challenged .
I don't agree with some opinions but I like to see them aired in public.
just because I have different opinions to some on politics does not make
me want to start branding people as nazi's , as is what happened on DATM.
The forum is fine Mel and I feel there will be more who begin posting
now on both boards .
