I don’t remember this Hukkas from DATM, but it seems he knows me from almost a decade ago.
There were only 3 posters who used TLDR in posts according to the search, Hukkas is one, but this account was deleted, so I’m guessing they came back as Skylarking.
It seems they’re on here just to provoke people.
The third poster who used that acronym was Pawsterrier, who also tried to setup their own Town forum, which never took off.

The term "vaccine passports" is deliberately provocative and misleading, to try to get a rise from feeble-minded, slack-jawed loons like yourself. In reality, it's just rudimentary infection control. Big event - don't be spreading a virus unnecessarily. No more, no less. It's only something sinister if you imagine it to be so, or buy into the grift about the virus being somehow insignificant - and it isn't insignificant, whatever way you try to spin the numbers. Shameful behaviour, to be honest. You wouldn't fuck around without protection if you had an STD, would you? Actually, don't answer that. If someone wants to refuse the vaccination, fine. You just don't get to go to large-scale events that put people at risk. It ain't restricting freedoms, it's just expecting the selfish and/or misguided (my words) to own their decisions, for the general health and wellbeing of others. And their immuno-compromised partners they go home to. Or the Cancer-stricken relative they have to drive to the hospital a couple of days after The Game. Or their HIV-positive mate. Or....well, the concept of virus transmission and exponential growth is lost on so many people, it's just not funny. Since when were people with STDs or AIDS expected to carry a medical passport in order to attend events and work or fly? You do know that the vaccinated can still catch and spread Covid? In fact, according to some sources, they are more likely to be asymptomatic spreaders. Logic isn't your strong point. You're a loon. |

Agree totally re the provocation. Anyone who inhabits a board that he so obviously vehemently disagrees with is only interested in one thing... creating conflict. And he does this with an arrogant, dismissive style, totally designed to rile people. He is just a WUM basically. If he came on here and argued in a reasonable manner and put forward his points in a sensible non-aggressive way - which he seems totally incapable of doing, then we could have a sensible discussion. As it is he's best just ignored. He is just looking to get a rise out of people and will soon get bored if no-one responds. (what does TLDR mean, by the way?) |

I just Googled TL;DR as likewise I had no idea what it meant...looks like 'too long, didn't read' so I guess it's an abusive acronym. People just tell me to my face that I waffle on too much  . I'll be honest, I thought it was going to be some complex computer language known only to an esoteric few 
With regards to the general theme of this topic, as I've said before, I've been pleasantly surprised. When I see it described as some have on DATM then it does make me wonder. I was hesitant about signing up here (mainly a sort of 'can I really be arsed' perspective as much as anything) & whether to use a different name, but in the end just opted to give it a go. Now, I can see that I'm in a general minority in terms of views I hold, but one thing really pulled me in was that on the one occasion where someone did abuse me, others actually stepped in to say that whilst they agreed with his politics, there needed to be more respect.
So, in a similar vein, I'd say exactly the same to anyone with a generally left perspective...dip your toes in the water, but do it with repect & before you write anything, concentrate on understanding the argument (something, personally anyway, I think Socialist thinkers can be very good at) & making strong, challenging replies. We don't need to be any sort of Team Left ganging up on the supposed loons, just express an argument. Can't be that hard can it?

He/she seemed pretty delicate, which if you are intent on wading into discussions throwing insults and toxic accusations about isn't a particularly good thing to be, because its never going to stay just one way. |

I say woke intolerance because that board seemed to regress quite sharply from the ' I vehemently dont agree with your opinions ' position that it was , to a ' I refuse to tolerate your unacceptable opinions ' position that it became. It mirrored the rise of woke intolerance we see now in pretty much every aspect of life.. to the detriment of debate and freedom of speech. |
